The Unlocked Archive — Inside a former bank vault, rows of gleaming metal safe deposit boxes stretch across the frame in a hypnotic grid. Each drawer is numbered, identical, and perfectly engineered—yet many stand ajar, keys still in place, revealing an unsettling openness in a space once defined by secrecy.
Photographed in stark black and white, Olivier Ceulemans turns this forgotten financial archive into a portrait of vulnerability. What was once secure is now exposed. The open doors evoke absence and memory—what was taken, what was lost, what was never claimed. It’s a haunting metaphor for value, privacy, and the silent traces we leave behind.
